Course Description

MFRII: Respiration, Ribcage and Thoracic Spine
Myofascial Release: The Ribs, Respiration and the Thoracic Spine
Myofascial Release Level II
Contact Hours: 16

This class enables participants to respond more precisely and efficiently to soft tissue restrictions throughout the entire spine. Emphasis is given to normalizing vertebral motion via releasing the fourth layer back muscles. New assessment and palpation skills will be introduced. Participants will leave with a significant increase in their ability to treat two of the most common client complaints, stiff backs and necks. The respiratory function and the mobility of the ribcage are addressed with both direct and functional techniques. These often have a profound influence on full body physiological well being.

Students will:

    • Expand their ability to make useful interventions to localized spinal stiffness
